The Music: This Weeks Most Played

A bit of a new feature today. Along side my passion for fashion and beauty I also have a passion for music, so I though it would be nice to maybe make this a weekly feature. Let me know what you guys think!

The Face: Origins Make a Difference Plus Rejuvenating Treatment

Unfortunately Origins isn't available in Belgium, but it is available in a couple of places in the Netherlands. So when a couple of weeks ago we went to The Hague for a day trip, I knew exactly where I was going. Straight to the Origins counter - sad, I know.

The Body: Anti-Ghost Products

Although I have a skin tone that tans quite easily in the summer, I also tend to go extremely pale during winter, so much so that I start looking almost translucent and ghost like.

The Hair: GHD Air

The benefits of having an older sister are endless. Not only are they a math tutor on hand, a chauffeur when needed (not always), but usually their beauty stash is significantly larger and generally more appealing.

The Sunday Chat

I haven't been up to much this sunday. It has been raining like hell all day, so I've been stuck inside. The perfect day for a pamper day though, so I pulled out some of my favourite face masks.

The Test: Trying Out a Clarisonic

I've never been interested in trying a clarisonic, as I was never using a cleanser that I thought would go well with the clarisonic. This all changed when recently I got the Origins Zero Oil cleanser, I had heard from a couple of other beauty bloggers that the clarisonic with the Zero Oil cleanser is their favourite combo.

The Face: Evening Cleanser

Excuse the bad lighting, the clouds these days are making it hard to take semi-decent photographs

If you would have asked me 3 years ago which cleanser I use, I would have gone 'cleanser, what is a cleanser', but nowadays it's a whole different story. If you would ask me today, I would probably say 'in the mornings or in the evenings?', as my skincare regime has evolved so much that I even use a different cleanser depending on what time of day it is.

The Favourites: September

Not many favourites from me this month, as the first two weeks of september I wasn't doing my beauty stuff. I still managed to find some products I've been loving the second half of september.

What were your favourite products in september?

The Sunday Chat

Berry and banana smoothie with cinnamon

So the last couple of weeks I've been getting more into eating healthy and knowing more about nutrition and trying to feed my body properly. I've just never really committed to it fully, I would just eat a healthy meal a couple of times a week, but I wouldn't stick to it. Plus on holiday it isn't the easiest thing to stay away from pizza's and ice creams and all that good stuff.

The Face: REN Serums

Oh REN how I've come to love thee. In the last year I've tried already quite a few of their products and my favourites so far have to be their serums and their masks. I also love the fact that there are no nasty ingredients in their products, REN are seriously my favourite skincare brand I've tried so far. This is starting to sound like a sponsored post, but it really isn't, I swear ;-)

The Body: Prolonging the Tan

I don't know about you, but for me building up a tan is quite a chore. I don't particularly like lying in the scorching sun for hours on end (while wearing SPF!). So when I finally build up a little bit of colour, I won't to preserve for as long as possible. That's were these babies come in.

The Hair: Bumble & Bumble Bits

In my travel beauty bag video, I mentioned that I had just bought these two Bumble & Bumble numbers and I promised you all I would report back on how I got on with them. So here I am.
First things first, my hair story, I have oily roots, but pretty dry lenghts from having them bleached earlier this year. So I need a shampoo that will cleanse my scalp thorougly and a conditioner that will make my ends nourished and soft again.

The Hair: Phyto 7 Hydrating Day Cream

So as you guys already know my locks have been really dry and damaged recently after all it has been through, but after going out to get some products to sort out my mob it's been in much better condition. One of those products was this one, the Phyto 7 Hydrating Day Cream with 7 plants.

The Face: Hydrating Products

Today I'm going to bust a myth for you all. People with oily skin do not need to apply moisturiser.
People with oily skin DO need to apply moisturiser. The cause of oily skin can often be dehydration, because your skin lacks hydration it will produce extra sebum to keep your skin moisturised. So oily skinned gals, get moisturising!

The Face: REN Resurfacing AHA Concentrate

A couple of months ago it was my birthday, and with my birthday pennies I went out and bought some REN skincare bits I'd been eyeing for quite some time.

The New Things: Portugal Goodies

So while I was here in Portugal, I did a bit of bank balance damage. Have a look.
Hope you enjoy :)

The Hair: Redken All Soft Argan-6

A couple of months ago my hair was feeling a little dry and coarse, so while on offer at FeelUnique, I picked up the Redken All Soft Argan-6 hair oil. Since then my hair doesn't only feel softer, it also looks nicer and smells heavenly.

The Face: La Roche Posay Serozinc

Let me just start by saying sorry. After reading this post you're probably going to want to have this product, but it is only available in France. So if you're lucky enough to live there or have family there or go on holiday there once in a while, then good for you, you can probably get your mits on this. For the rest of you, it's a tough life ;-)

PS: Let me know which products/music/food/books/movies... you've been loving this past month, suggestions are ALWAYS welcome :)

The Face: Micellar Waters

Micellar waters have been the new way to cleanse your skin for some time now. Probably the most famous one out of the bunch is the Bioderma Créaline H2O, and I too adore that one, but I did want to try a few other ones.

The Tools: Everyday Makeup Brushes

When it comes to everyday makeup I stick with less is more or rather less makeup is more time in bed. I do however still apply everything with brushes instead of with fingers, as I do prefer the finish it gives and some things are just hard applying with fingers - think bronzer/eyeliner.

The Hair: Kérastase Nutritive Nectar Thermique

In February, I wanted to get my hair ombréd but I didn't feel like paying a lot of money for it. So I ended up going to a 'hair school'. It's a sort of salon where only students that are learning to become a hairdresser work. I'd been there before and I'd never had any problems, so I felt confident they were going to do my ombre properly. After about three hours, three students and 156 knots later, I came out with this hair.

The Makeup: Bourjois Color Boost Glossy Finish Lipsticks

After Clinique launched their Chubby Sticks, company after company seems to be coming out with lip crayons, but you don't hear me complaining I for one love lip crayons. Their easy to apply and usually leave just a nice sheer wash of colour.

The Face: REN Masks

I've been trying out these beautiful numbers from REN for a couple of weeks and I'm impressed! I generally feel face masks do a lot for my skin, but these two babies are just incredible.
I always use them in conjunction, first I use the REN Glyocolactic Radiance Renewal Mask and I follow up with the REN Invisible Pores Detox Mask. This method makes is hard to tell which one of the two masks has given me the most results, but I'm not really too bothered as I feel they both do a lot for my skin.

The Body: Lierac Sunific Après-Soleil Iridescent Satin Milk

Another summer essential for me definitely has to be a good after sun. The perfect one for me is not too runny, nor too thick, it rubs in quickly and sinks in quickly too and it doesn't leave you looking like a glimball.

The Hair: Kérastase Soleil Huile Céleste Shimmering Protective Care

Another hair bit today. In warm climates I really like to take care of my locks so I don't have to cut 5 cms off when I get home. One of the products I use to ensure this doesn't happen is this Kérastase Soleil Huile Céleste Shimmering Protective Care. It's an oil with little shimmer particles that you spray on to your hair to protect it from the damaging sun rays.
